Day 1: Arrival in Paro and Transfer to Thimphu
Upon your arrival at Paro, you will be greeted by our representative who will assist with immigration formalities and guide you throughout your journey. Drive to Thimphu, the capital city, where you will check into your hotel and refresh. Begin your Bhutan adventure with a visit to:
- Kuensel Phodrang: Explore the towering Buddha statue and enjoy panoramic views of the Thimphu Valley.
- Craft Bazaar: Stroll through 80 stalls displaying authentic Bhutanese arts and crafts, a perfect opportunity to witness and purchase local products.
- Tashichhoe Dzong: This majestic fortress houses the King’s office, secretariat, and the central monk body. Built in 1641, it remains a key symbol of Bhutanese religion and culture.

Day 2: Explore Thimphu
After breakfast, explore the cultural and natural wonders of Thimphu:
- Takin Preserve: Home to Bhutan’s national animal, the takin, a rare species found only in Bhutan.
- Weaving Center: Witness traditional handwoven textiles at Gagyel Lhundrup Weaving Centre.
- Textile Museum: Discover Bhutan’s rich textile history through a fascinating collection of fabrics and artifacts.
- Institute for Zorig Chusum: Also known as the Arts & Crafts School, see students mastering Bhutan’s 13 traditional arts and crafts.

Day 3: Thimphu to Punakha
After breakfast, travel to Punakha through the picturesque Dochula Pass at 3,140 meters, where on clear days, you can see the Himalayan range. Along the way, visit:
- 108 Chortens: These stupas were built for the well-being and security of Bhutan.
- Druk Wangyal Lhakhang: A tribute to Bhutan’s fourth king and the armed forces, showcasing murals of historic events. Upon arrival in Punakha, visit:
- Chhimi Lhakhang: Known as the Divine Madman’s Monastery, this fertility shrine offers special blessings.
- Punakha Dzong: A stunning fortress located between the Pho Chu and Mo Chu rivers, renowned for its beautiful architecture.
In the evening, enjoy a walk through Rinchengang & Lobesa villages and meet the friendly locals.

Day 4: Punakha Short Hike and Sightseeing
After breakfast, embark on a short hike to the Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, offering breathtaking views of the Punakha Valley. In the afternoon, visit:
- Limbukha Village: Enjoy a peaceful walk through rice fields, crossing a suspension bridge, and learn about the village’s history as peacemakers during Bhutan’s medieval wars.

Day 5: Punakha to Paro
After breakfast, journey back to Paro, with stops along the way:
- Tamchog Lhakhang Bridge: Cross a historic iron chain bridge built in the 13th century, offering a thrilling experience. Upon arrival in Paro, visit:
- National Museum: Housed in a watchtower, the museum offers a rich collection of Bhutanese artifacts. In the evening, enjoy a leisurely walk through Paro town and visit local handicraft shops.

Day 6: Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery
After breakfast, embark on a rewarding hike to the famous Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), perched on a cliffside. The hike offers stunning views, with a stop at the Viewpoint Cafeteria for refreshments. After exploring the monastery, hike back down and visit:
- Drukgyel Dzong: This historic fortress played a significant role in Bhutan’s defense and is currently being restored.

Day 7: Departure from Paro
After breakfast, we will transfer you to Paro International Airport for your departure, bidding farewell to the enchanting Kingdom of Bhutan. Safe travels!

Best time to travel Bhutan
October to December is the ideal time to visit Bhutan as the air is clear and fresh with sunny skies. January and February are colder, but from then until April the climate remains dry and pleasant.
