A short boat ride in small river will make you feel, you have come back somewhere where 90 seconds make a minute. Slow and ease life of village will charm you. But when you enter in a village home, you will find men and women all are busy in making beautiful house hold and commercial material with mud. You can also join them to try. After exploring pottery village you will have lunch and the guide will take you to Dhamrai, a small local town. You will find their legacy in their household but a deem business of art work. The experience of lost wax-technique of making crafted artwork with brass and metal is one of kind and surely will amaze you. After the tour, we will use the same route to get back to Hotel at around 7PM.
The word “Brass art and Pottery Village” may trigger the experience of Servery Shops in touristic places in someone’s mind. But here in Bangladesh, it is not the same at all. In pottery village, you will not find any shops rather pure village homes working in their yards and busy making local market demand of goods made out of mud. If you want you can make you hands dirty with mud. In Brass village, there are 2-3 shops carrying the family heritage but you may find that you are the only customer. The Brass worker uses old technique and tools to do their art work. The experience is more of attachment with art works than to sale.
